Botox & Fillers

Botulinum Toxin (Botox) is a natural, purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles.

Botox has several uses but is most popularly utilized in the treatment of wrinkles caused by muscle movement, also known as dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are commonly known as “expression lines” because they are caused by smiling, frowning, squinting, and other natural facial expressions.

The most common dynamic wrinkles that Botox can treat are lines on the upper face, such as the “11” between the brows, horizontal lines on the forehead, and crow’s feet around the eyes.

BOTOX is the first FDA approved treatment for moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.

Botox injections generally take only 10-15 minutes with minimal downtime.  Small red marks near injection sites are common but disappear within 30 minutes.

You will not begin to see the effects until 48-72 hours.

Botox takes 7-10 days for the full effect, so if you have an event that would like to plan for, keep this in mind when booking your appointment.

Botox lasts between 3-4 months in the treatment of dynamic wrinkles.

If you have deep, static lines, Botox will soften these lines but will not take them away entirely in the first treatment.

Botox can also be used to treat hyper-hydrosis, which is the medical term for excessive sweating.  Excessive sweating is a common concern that is nothing to be ashamed about.  Many times, antiperspirants just do not cut it, but fortunately, Botox has been officially FDA-approved for people who sweat excessively from their armpits.

Botox under the armpits can last up to 9 months when used to treat hyper-hydrosis.

Botox may also be used “off-label” to reduce sweating in other areas, such as the hands, feet and face.  It works by temporarily blocking the signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands.

Fillers, sometimes called soft tissue fillers, are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness.

Different types of fillers are designed to treat varying signs of aging that BOTOX cannot, such as static wrinkles. Static wrinkles include those around the mouth and along the cheeks and are usually a result of a loss of collagen and elasticity in the skin.

We are offering two Hyaluronic acid fillers, RHA and Juvéderm.

The RHA® Collection of fillers was launch in the US in August 2020, but has been safely used in over 96 countries and is the #1 used HA filler in Europe. This new designer filler more closely mimics your skins hyaluronic acid and adapts to your dynamic facial movement for a natural look. Beautiful at rest, flawless in motion. Learn more about the RHA® Collection.

Dynamic wrinkles and folds appear in areas of the face which move repetitively. RHA® is designed to be resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement. RHA® uses a gentle manufacturing process with few chemical modifications. This helps preserve the natural structure of the HA, allowing it to mimic the natural HA found in your skin.

RHA® 2 and RHA® 3 are indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for the correction of moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (NLF), in adults aged 22 years or older. RHA® 4 is indicated for injection into the deep dermis to superficial subcutaneous tissue for the correction of moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (NLF), in adults aged 22 years or older.
